Ask your fleet a question. Get the list.

Permito is the AI built into VPB. Ask it which medical cards expire this month and it answers from your own data. Upload a certificate and it reads the expiry date so you don't type it.

In short

Permito is VPB's built-in AI. It does two things. The chat answers plain questions about your own fleet, such as which drivers are missing medical cards or what expires this month, by running read-only queries against your data. The scanner reads an uploaded document and pulls the compliance fields, including the expiry date, into a structured record so nobody types it in.

The problem

The answer exists. Finding it is the work.

The data is already in the system. Which drivers are short a document, which trucks come due before the end of the month, which category has the most gaps: all of it is sitting there.

Getting it out means knowing which screen, which filter, which sort. Most people running a fleet never learn that, and they shouldn't have to.

How it works

AI document management, for trucking paperwork specifically.

Fleet-aware chat

Ask in plain words. "Which drivers are missing medical cards?" "What expires in the next 30 days?" Permito runs read-only queries against your own fleet data and answers from what it finds. It's scoped to your company and it cannot write anything: it reads, it reports, it doesn't change your records.

Document scanning

Upload a certificate, a registration, a medical card. Permito reads it and pulls the compliance-relevant fields, including the expiry date, into a structured record. You confirm and file. The date that drives every alert stops depending on somebody typing it correctly at 6pm.

Why it matters

Why the expiry date is the one field worth automating.

Every expiration alert in VPB runs off one field: the date on the document. Get it wrong and the daily check flags nothing, or flags the wrong thing, and the whole system quietly stops working.

That field is also the most tedious one to enter, on the busiest day, by the person with the least time. Which is exactly why it gets skipped or fat-fingered. Permito reads it off the document instead.

The detail that matters

Permito's chat holds read-only access to your fleet, scoped to your company. It answers questions about your data. It cannot alter a document, an assignment or a record.

Frequently asked questions

What is Permito?

The AI built into VPB. It does two things: answers plain-language questions about your own fleet data, and reads uploaded documents to pull out the compliance fields, including expiry dates.

What can I ask Permito?

Questions about your own fleet. Which drivers are missing a required document, what expires this month, which trucks have gaps in a category. It answers from your records, not from general knowledge about trucking.

Can Permito change my records?

No. The chat is read-only and scoped to your company. It can report what's in your data. It cannot write to it.

Does Permito read any document I upload?

It's built for the compliance documents a permit book holds: registrations, certificates, medical cards, inspection reports. It extracts the fields into a record that you confirm before filing. Treat it as a first pass that saves typing, not as a replacement for checking the document.

Do I need Permito to use VPB?

No. Everything in VPB works without it. Permito is the faster path to the same answers.

Ask it something about your own fleet.

Twenty minutes, screen share. Bring a document and we'll scan it live.
